饮食文化的不同对英语的影响

Abstract

Food is central to all societies and life style. Given its importance, it is not surprising that the production of food, its distribution, preparation and presentation are clothed with meaning and surrounded by ritual. Changes in food culture reflect changes in the larger culture. Dietary Culture is the sum total of human dietary behavior, conception, technology and its products. It shows human natural choice and dietary way of life which is suited to the nature and human environment through common practice. Due to geographical features, climate, customs and other factors, the different degrees of difference will be found in raw materials, the taste, cooking method, eating habits, etc. It is precisely because of these differences, food products with a strong regional. Cultural differences between China and America created the differences of food culture; this difference comes from the different of the way of thinking and philosophy between China and America. This paper discusses the main differences between Chinese and American food culture by the food cooking history, methods and different cultural values, and different connotations of this diet. The knowledge of the food culture difference between China and America can promote the mutual understanding and communication.

摘 要

饮和食是人类生活的必需。食物的生产、分配以至烹调方法不但有其本身的意义,而且具有一定的礼仪,饮食文化的转变直接反映了文化发展的趋势,进一步了解饮食文化与当今社会的关系。饮食文化是人类饮食行为、观念、技术及其产品的总和,是人类自然选择、约定俗成的同自然界与人文环境相适应的饮食生活方式。由于地域特征、气侯环境、风俗习惯等因素的影响,会出现在原料、口味、烹调方法、饮食习惯上的不同程度的差异。正是因为这些差异,餐饮产品具有了强烈的地域性。中西文化之间的差异造就了中西饮食文化的差异,而这种差异来自中西方不同的思维方式和处世哲学。本文从中西方饮食文化的差异着手,透过有关食物的烹饪历史、方式及不同的文化价值观,和不同的饮食文化内涵对此进行了研究。而对中美饮食文化差异的研究可以增进双方的了解和沟通。
